Neve Events is a shared community calendar. People send event details — as text, a link, or a photo of a flyer — to our Telegram bot. An AI model extracts the event details and an entry is created on a public Google Calendar, which is displayed on this website.
| Context | Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website visitors | Technical data automatically logged by our hosting/CDN providers (IP address,
browser type, timestamps) and a functional theme preference stored
in your browser. |
Serving the site securely and remembering your light/dark preference. | Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)) — security and basic functionality. |
| People who message the bot | The content you send (text/links/images) and the Telegram-level identifiers Telegram attaches to your message. | To extract event details and create a calendar entry. | Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)) in operating a community calendar. |
| People named in events / flyers | Names, roles, social handles, and images of speakers, performers, organisers that appear in submitted flyers or text. | Publishing public event information of community interest. | Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)); for images, also typically already published publicly by the event organiser. |
We do not use analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking of any kind, and we do not sell or share personal data for marketing.
This website does not use cookies and contains no analytics or
advertising trackers. The only data stored in your browser is a single
localStorage value (theme) that remembers whether you chose the
light or dark appearance. This is strictly necessary for the feature you requested and is
never transmitted to us or any third party. Because we use no non-essential cookies or
trackers, no cookie-consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive; you may clear
this preference at any time via your browser settings.
To run the service we rely on the following providers, some of which are outside the EU/EEA:
| Provider | Role | Location / transfer safeguard |
|---|---|---|
| Railway (hosting) | Runs the website and bot | Deployed in the EU (Netherlands); US company — Standard Contractual Clauses. |
| Cloudflare (CDN + R2 storage) | Delivers the site; stores flyer images | R2 bucket in the EU; SCCs / Data Processing Addendum. |
| Telegram | Receives the messages you send to the bot | Operates internationally; governed by Telegram's own privacy policy. |
| Google (Calendar) | Stores and serves the public calendar entries | Google LLC; SCCs. |
| Neve Studio AI service | Extracts event details from your submission | Self-hosted by Neve Studio; not shared with other parties. |
[To confirm: sign/keep on file a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with each processor above.]
Events are published on a public Google Calendar and are visible to anyone. Please do not submit private or sensitive personal data. If you are named in an event or your image appears on a flyer and you want it removed, contact us (see section 9) and we will remove it promptly.
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it rectified or erased; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interest, you may object at any time.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
